KidzCodingClub Participation and Conduct Guidelines

We're excited to have you and your child as part of our learning community. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, we've established the following guidelines. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these policies, which are designed to maximise learning and maintain a supportive environment for all students.

Scheduling and Attendance

24-Hour Cancellation Notice:

To foster a flexible learning environment, we kindly request a 48-hour notice if you need to cancel a session. This allows us to offer the slot to another student. If you miss this window, we'll do our best to accommodate your child in another session within the same week, subject to availability. Please inform us as soon as possible to facilitate this adjustment.

Arrival Time:

We encourage students to arrive 15 minutes early. This time can be used to set up their equipment, settle in, review previous lessons, and prepare for the day’s activities. Arriving early helps ensure that classes start on time and run smoothly, benefiting all participants.

10-Minute Grace Period:

We understand that sometimes delays happen. With that in mind there is a 10-minute grace period at the start of each session. If your child is late, they may still join the class within this window. Beyond this, entry is at the discretion of the teacher, depending on the day’s agenda and fairness to other students. We may allow catch-up sessions for the first or second occurrence of lateness, but please strive to be punctual.

Technology and Connectivity

Stable Internet Connection:

A strong, stable internet connection is crucial for participating in our sessions. If your connection is unstable and causes disruptions, the class will need to continue without delay. We recommend making use of the recommended early arrival time (above) to check your setup before the class to minimise any connectivity issues.

Respectful and Responsible Behaviour

File Integrity:

Each student will have access to their own files and may sometimes need to view files belonging to peers. We emphasise the importance of respecting each other’s work. Please do not alter or modify someone else’s files without permission. This policy fosters a trusting and collaborative learning environment.

General Conduct:

We strive to create a respectful and welcoming atmosphere. Positive behavior and mutual respect among students are expected at all times. This approach ensures a productive and enjoyable learning experience for everyone. By adhering to these guidelines, you help us maintain a high-quality learning environment that benefits all members of KidzCodingClub.
